Adieu…but not just yet.

In less than four weeks time I’ll be aboard a plane, soaring over the atlantic ocean towards Europe. And finally, I am excited. Still, it seems surreal.

I still can’t quite manage to hold the reality of my mundane working life, which seems an endless trial, against the almost magical truth that I will be travelling around Europe for two whole months!! 🙂 Of course, I’ve been overseas before, as part of a school music group in the lead up to the 2008 Beijing Olympics but nothing as free form as this European adventure. 🙂

If you wish to follow my progress you can here and I’ll do my best to update this blog as frequently as possible. I’ll have a week in both rural France and Tuscany during which I can relax and just write, surrounded by the most amazing and history-filled landscapes. The very same landscapes in fact which I have read and dreamed about most every day of my life. So wish me well! 🙂
