Happy Blogoversary

books

They say time flies when you’re having fun. I don’t always agree with this but in the case of my experiences with this blog, the sentiment rings true. A year has passed since I first ventured into the blogosphere with this post, outlining my intentions for the blog. As much as I like to think my goals have not changed, they have, to some extent at least. When I set out on this cyber adventure, I was working on a new WIP, whose development I intended to report to you on a regular basis. If you’ve been paying any attention at all in the lasy year, you’ll have noticed that my posts can be few and far between and they rarely speak of my WIP. Well, not the ‘main’ one anyway. I think the lesson I’ve learnt from this is that you cannot expect to set a realistic goal for yourself when you set out on something new. Your goals change as you learn the ropes.

While I still aim to update you on the progress of my WIP, I realise that to both improve my writing and broaden my author platform, I must post more reguarly than my progress allows. In the last few months, I have overcome (to an extent :)) the fear of presenting my work to the anonymous public. I think I speak for most writers when I say that the reveal of the work one has dedicated themselves to can be incredibly daunting. As a result, my posts have increased. I hope to continue this into the second year of the blog and I look forward to reading all of your blogs as much as I hope you look forward to reading mine.

I’d also like to thank you all for sticking with me this far. 🙂

    LOL. Happy Blogoversary…..

Anyway think about this. I found this poem.

    funny… but not
it’s funny how hello is always accompanied with goodbye
it’s funny how good memories can start to make you cry
it’s funny how forever never seems to last
it’s funny how much you’d lose if you forgot about your past
it’s funny how “friends” can just leave when you are down
it’s funny how when you need someone they never are around
it’s funny how people change and think they’re so much better
it’s funny how many lies are packed into one “love letter”
it’s funny how one night can contain so much regret
it’s funny how you can forgive but not forget
it’s funny how ironic life turns out to be
but the funniest part of all, is none of thats funny to me
