100 Days: Over the Hump

I am well into the second half of my 100 Days of Productivity Challenge now and it continues to gain momentum. You may have noticed that I didn’t post last week. That is because I was too busy living life, enjoying my city and embracing the challenge of actively doing things of my own volition. I had an awesome week and I honestly do not think I could have been so proactive, outgoing and successful this past week without this challenge. The small, seemingly insignificant, repetitive tasks are starting to pay dividends and I am now in a much healthier mental space than when I started the challenge.

I’ll give you an update on my progress on each of my goals so far but I think the above paragraph truly outlines the calibre of the progress I’ve made. 🙂

  • Finish editing 2nd section of Queen of Hearts

I am only ten scenes from the end (editing wise) although I will have to add in some more to complete a few plot points which still resemble swiss cheese.

  • Add 20,000 words to Rebellion Rising (and get a better name for it!)
  • Finish writing Enarenel (approx. 10,000 words)

Rebellion Rising and Enarenel have again been set to one side this week. If all goes to plan, basic edits of Queen of Hearts (minus added scenes) could be done by next week. At that point, I think I’ll have to choose between RR and E.

  • Improve my French

French has fallen by the wayside, unless eavesdropping (*attempted) on the train yesterday counts.

  • Expand my Swedish vocabulary & grammar knowledge
  • Finish Swedish Duolingo tree

Finished on Friday, 2 days ahead of schedule 😀

  • Get to level 6 on Duolinguo for Spanish
  • Go for walks (because gym membership is expensive)

I’ve been spending a lot of time on my feet and wandering around but haven’t been on any exercise focused walks. And as I now live directly across the road from a gym, I’m considering a membership. One of my housemates has already joined up.

  • Find a job

Nothing new has come up but I’ve been offered a few extra shifts at the place I’m working now which is very welcome.
