QUARTERLY GOALS July – Sep 2017

So as well head into the second half of the year, I thought I’d share with you my goals for the upcoming quarter because if I don’t share them, they won’t get done. Nothing like the phantom of expectation to motivate! Here’s what I’ll be working on over the next three months. I’d really appreciate your support as I struggle through this list. And if you ever need a cheerleader yourself, just ask and I’ll be there with bells on. 🙂

  1. Finish Arrowsong
  2. Final edits on Arrowsong
  3. Start new story – outline and 15,000 words
  4. Begin to rewrite Arrowsong prequel
  5. Reach 250 followers on Instagram
  6. Read 5 books – min. 2 non-fiction
  7. Review 3 books
  8. Post min. 12 blog posts
  9. Keep working on my secret project*

*this is the point at which, if I had a newsletter, I’d tell you to look out for it and the secrets it contains. Alas, I don’t have one. Yet. If you’d be interested in receiving updates from me, let me know in the comments and I’ll see what I can do.

I’m curious to see how well I go with these goals. As much as I like to plan the shape of everything, I’m very prone to abandoning the goal ship at the first slip up, and having three months of my life lined up is already giving me a stress headache.

Do you set quarterly goals? Or do you prefer to have them more frequent? Less? No set goals at all?
