The Sacred Flame

This project is set in a completely new world which, unlike the world of Anrien, contains magic and people who know how to wield it. I am currently mid-draft of the first book in the series which follows the fates and fortunes of a trade based empire balanced between a golden age and destruction. SSHK tells the story of the people of Erelda, including those who have been chosen by the Sacred Flame to lead the empire.

When the Sacred Flame finally Names the successors, some believe that it is a sign that prosperity will return to Erelda. The once powerful empire has been plagued by drought, famine, highwaymen and poor leadership for decades. But there are those who will stop at nothing to ensure that the four children chosen to lead never reach adulthood.
